GCPA is seeking to hire immediately an Education Manager, with start date between August 15th and September 1st, 2025.

EDUCATION MANAGER

SCOPE

GCPA’s Education Manager is equal parts organized admin, passionate community builder, classroom support system, and intuitive right-hand to our Education Director. As the point person managing the desk and doors at our performing arts studios, the Education Manager is the first face people see when they walk in, and the steady hand behind the scenes making sure nothing falls through the cracks. We are looking for someone who’s got a spreadsheet for everything, a smile for everyone, and a plan before anyone asks.

RHYTHMS

  • Running the front-of-house during class hours, greeting students and families, and meeting in-the-moment needs for students, parents and teachers both in the classroom and at the desk

  • Managing ongoing student registration needs, software systems, and communications for a wide variety of arts programming

  • Investing in relationships and customer satisfaction as a long game, boosting retention, enrollment, and quality of experience

  • Being the go-to contact for questions, concerns, and check-ins from students, parents, and staff.

  • Planning and executing key education events like year-end assessments, final performances, open houses, and community activities which put GCPA on people’s radar.

  • Working with the Education Director to organize and lead teachers, assistants and interns in orientations and trainings and to ensure staff is supported to uphold GCPA’s quality standards in the classroom

  • Helping bring the Education Director’s vision to life — not just taking notes, but taking action

QUALITIES

  • Highly organized and detail-driven, managing rapid-fire tasks and deadlines with composure and determination

  • Proactive and independent. An approach of “don't wait to be told what to do - see what’s needed and take care of it.”

  • People-centered, genuinely enjoying building community and making others feel heard, supported, and valued.

  • Intuitive collaborator. Catch a vision, read the room, and work closely with leadership to make things happen.

  • Strong communicator, valuing the benefits of keeping people on the same page and the confidence of feeling informed and empowered

  • Previous experience in education, arts administration, customer service, or similar roles preferred but not required

DETAILS

  • Full time hybrid (in person + remote) position

  • Salaried at 40 hours per week, with possible additional hours during peak periods

  • Required in-person hours:

    • September - May: Monday-Thursday, 4-9:30pm and Saturday 8:30am-3:30pm.
