Year-Round Performance Opportunities
The GCPA Youth Theatre Company was created in 2014 to fulfill an important part of GCPA's mission to provide opportunities to express and experience high-quality performing arts. We believe that musical theatre, at its core, is a performance art, and one cannot truly have a complete experience without live performance - thus the YTC was born.
We offer two types of productions each year: our Mainstage Season and our Summer Season. Both offer varying experiences to help every performer grow and improve, whether this is their first experience or they are well on their path to a professional career.
Mainstage Season
The Mainstage Season brings our largest, most comprehensive opportunities. These performances include large casts and expose every actor to the whole process, including auditions, rehearsals, different theatre venues, technical aspects, live music, costumes, strike, and more. Rehearsals are generally 2-3 evenings during the week and Saturdays for 3-4 consecutive months.
Summer Season
The Summer Season shows are a hybrid of the Youth Theatre Company and GCPA educational experience. They bring actors with strong training, skills, and interest together for a more intensive and intimate process. These shows have limited cast members and are broken down by age group, we offer three productions each summer: KIDS Musical, Junior Musical, and Professional Focus Musical.

About Auditions
GCPA strives for a quality experience for every actor. In order to provide this experience, we have a specific number of spots for each production and, unfortunately, cannot cast every actor that auditions.

Past Seasons
GCPA's Youth Theatre Company premiered with High School Musical and is currently in its 13th season of producing high-quality, award-winning youth theatre.
Highlights of our previous seasons include: Hairspray, West Side Story, Thoroughly Modern Millie, In The Heights, Carrie, Crazy for You, The Music Man, Spring Awakening, Annie, 42nd Street, 9 to 5, Ragtime, The Prom, and Into the Woods.
GCPA camps & Classes
Be a part of our extensive education programming and find exactly what you’re looking for (and hopefully even what you didn’t even know you needed) in performing arts training. We offer leveled courses for Ages 3 through Adult, including performers of all ranges and abilities.
Our Webster Groves studio features two levels of dance, voice, and acting studios, ready to fill with another great year. We are excited to help you find your place at GCPA!
