Production and Box Office Intern
Summary
Production and Box Office Interns represent GCPA and its mission to clients and the community and are an integral part of promoting the organization and its services. Production and Box Office Interns serve as an assistant to the Artistic Director, attending to a wide variety of needs including administrative, customer relations, box office, and production support. This is an unpaid internship.
Responsibilities may include:
- Monitor front desk and side doors during rehearsals
- Basic administrative duties including answering the phone, copying, filing, managing paperwork, and keeping facilities clean and organized
- Assist with transitions including arrival, dismissal, and breaks
- Serve as a liaison between families and the directors, fielding questions and needs to appropriate channels
- Assist with ticket sales during rehearsal hours including processing forms, accepting payments, and creating a will call
Required Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- A background in at least one performing arts discipline OR
- A background in arts or nonprofit administration
- A strong work ethic and a high value on customer service
Desired Skills:
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Clear and professional communication, both written and oral
- Leadership and easy rapport with students of all ages
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure in high-intensity situations

Training and Production Meetings: TBD
September 6th: 8am-5pm
September 7th: 10am-5pm
September 20th: 12pm-4pm
October 1st-November 22nd: Wednesdays (4pm-9pm), Saturdays (8am-4pm)
November 23rd: 12pm - 4pm
November 24th-25th: 4pm-9pm
December 1st-5th: 3pm-10pm
December 6th-7th: 12pm-10pm
Potential Review Rehearsals
October 12th, October 26th, and November 9th: 12pm -4pm
