Ages 6 - 10
Ready for the stage, but not quite ready to audition for a massive production? This is the class for you! In this year-long class, students will put together a full-length musical. They will learn how to audition, be cast in the show, learn choreography, music, and blocking, and perform their work in the spring with costumes, sound, set, props, and lights! This class is perfect for the beginning performer that's ready to experience a musical in a stress-free, competition-free environment!
This year we are excited to produce Disney’s Jungle Book KIDS! Based on the timeless Disney film, journey with Mowgli, Baloo and all the zany jungle friends you love on the way to the Man-Village and out of the claws of the fierce tiger, Shere Khan.
This is a two-semester program (fall & spring) and enrollment is required for both semesters. No conflicts allowed May 12th - 25th, 2025. Some additional / extended rehearsals TBD spring 2025. There is an additional production fee of $125 above the regular class fee that will be charged after you finalize your first payment.

Students will develop three disciplines of Musical Theatre through engaging repertoire from classical, contemporary and Disney musicals! They will explore technical elements of music (breathing, diction, rhythm, musicality), dance (balance, coordination, proprioception, expression and self control), and acting (characterization, physicality, expressiveness, and memorization), and how they come together to form a musical, executing repertoire with performance etiquette. At the end of the semester they will demonstrate scenes, songs, and dances to show their growth and get a chance to perform for their family and friends!

Students will explore the art of live storytelling, working on finding characters in their bodies, voices, and faces. They will learn to navigate the basics of stage work, including stage directions, blocking and formations, and in-character movement and physicality. There is nothing like connecting with a character and bringing them to life on stage!

Twirl and leap into the wonderful world of ballet! GCPA is the perfect class for theatre performers looking to develop a strong ballet foundation. Learn essential ballet technique, vocabulary, key positions, and how to bring music to life with your movements. Grow stronger, have fun and make new friends who love dancing just as much as you do!

Ready to get those tiny toes tapping? This is a perfect first class for the young beginning tapper. Students wil begin learning the fundamental terminology and techniques to build a firm foundation for tap study, all while having a blast with musical theatre songs and presentation! Through guided warm ups, students will learn to articulate the feet in rudimentary rhythms and beginner patterns. Progression and combinations will teach basic tap steps that are common in the musical theatre tap vocabulary with a strong focus on body position and posture.

Does Broadway and Disney make you wanna dance? This class is for you! Explore all the moves and grooves that make dancing in musicals so fun. Learn core concepts, vocabulary and common steps used in musical theatre jazz. Build strength, balance, and an understanding of alignment and placement in preparation for larger dance steps. Every dance move you learn will help you tell amazing stories through your performances in a class where every session is an adventure!

The Broadway stage meets the concert stage! Rock out to contemporary vocal music such as pop, rock and indie, and learn how these styles work in contemporary musical theatre as well. Develop foundational vocal technique and modern music skills such as how to work the microphone, improvisation and runs, and how to tell a great story through your song. Discover your unique sound to some of your favorite songs!
