Previews are COMPLETELY FREE classes, allowing you to preview some of our most popular offerings. Speak with Teaching Artists and our Education Staff for individual class recommendations. Sign up for as many as you’d like - there’s no limit on classes or family members - we want you to find the perfect fit and see why so many people love to call GCPA “home.”
HOW DOES IT WORK?
You can take as many free Previews as you like! Classes last 45 minutes, and Teaching Artists and Education Staff are available in the last 15 minutes of each hour to debrief with students and families and make class recommendations. All you have to do is tell us when you’re coming!
TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE CLASSES?
The free Preview Classes are identical to our regular semester classes. Students will get the same exposure to what a GCPA class is like, so you know exactly what you’re signing up for during the year. Some age groups may be combined for trials, but the same great curriculum and teachers apply. All Preview Classes are open-level, so regardless of past training or experience, you’ll still have a great time and get a taste of GCPA classes! If you have had extensive past training and have questions about upper class levels for each age group, see below regarding our Placement Classes or contact us.
WHAT IF I AM INTERESTED IN A CLASS NOT OFFERED AS A FREE PREVIEW?
Our Trial Classes are designed to cover a wide variety of skills and activities within the musical theatre disciplines of singing, dancing and acting. You can still take a Preview Class within the discipline you are interested in and get a good idea of what’s in store in regular classes. For example, if you are interested in Ballet, take a Dance Style Preview Class. If you’re interested in Modern Music, take a Voice Studio Preview Class. You will also be able to speak with the Teaching Artists and Education Staff at the end of the class to share more of your interests and discuss the right classes for you. We are also happy to speak with you over phone or email to discuss specific classes!
I HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND NEED TO KNOW MY CLASS LEVEL.
We are happy to pair you with one of our instructors for a Placement Consultation. We offer leveled training for students Ages 8-18, in the Juniors, Tweens, and Seniors age categories. The consultation will last approximately 15 minutes. At the end of the class, instructors will make recommendations for classes and give approvals to those who qualify for upper level classes.
