Overcoming Performance Anxiety Intensive

This two-day workshop dives into the symptoms and causes of anxiety in performing artists. Throughout this course, actors will learn about the theory of Music Performance Anxiety, established by Dr. Dianna Kenny. Artists will leave with an understanding of how performance anxiety affects them, along with new tools to tackle it as they continue their artistic journey.

Day 1 (July 31) introduces the foundations of Music Performance Anxiety and how the body and brain work together, both positively and negatively, when it comes to performing.

Day 2 (August 1) focused on the individual performer, where their anxiety emerges based on their experiences, and how to create personalized coping skills to retrain the brain and overcome performance anxiety.
