SUMMARY

The Marketing Coordinator supports GCPA’s marketing efforts for education, Youth Theatre Company (YTC), fundraising and general organizational awareness. They uphold GCPA brand integrity and seek to further develop GCPA’s presence and brand awareness in media, in community circulations, and online.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains regular and consistent social media presence on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, including graphic design, content creation and content calendar planning and campaigning, including but not limited to:

    • YTC audition promotions, casting announcements, ticket sales and production promotion (at least 5 shows annually)

    • Promoting education semesterly classes, summer camps, and special events

    • Promoting Show Starters (performing troupe) and CrAFT program (pre-professional development)

    • Promotions and ticket sales for fundraisers and special events such as GiveSTL (online giving day) and Raise The Curtain (annual gala)

  • Graphic design for printed materials and merchandise including but not limited to:

    • Creation and revision 2-3 times per year of large comprehensive brochures for all education programming

    • Creation of extensive YTC playbills including all licensing and general show content, credits, headshots and bios, and creation of ads for actors, businesses and upcoming GCPA activity 

    • Large banners for YTC season, sponsorships, and some programming as needed

    • Postcards and flyers for various programming promotion as needed

    • YTC show t-shirts, Show Starters uniforms and other GCPA branded merch

    • Printed and online content creation as needed for RTC

  • Graphic design for miscellaneous company needs including but not limited to:

    • Flyers and certificates for charitable giving 

    • Other paid advertising including placing ads in playbills and brochures

    • Content for registration platform, Dance Studio Pro

  • Creates and manages paid Facebook ad campaign twice per year to promote semesterly classes

  • Proactively promotes GCPA to the media and the local community including press releases and press networking and posting to online calendars and event sharing spaces 

  • Maintains GCPA website, updating data and graphics with current and upcoming programming, events, staffing, and online ordering

  • Plans, creates and deploys e-blasts (Mailchimp) with current and upcoming events and programming to online email database as needed

  • Conceptualizes and attends photoshoots for YTC productions, Education programming promotions and Show Starters promotions

  • Collaborates with Artistic Director, Education Director and Executive Director on content needs and planning

REQUIREMENTS

  • One to three years of experience in marketing

  • Graphic Design

  • A working knowledge of Social Media

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or a related discipline preferred

  • Comfortability with media contacts and strong media networking skills

  • Working knowledge of marketing strategies to increase local, regional and online reach

  • Strong delegation, prioritization and multi-tasking skills to manage a diverse and demanding workload

WORK EXPECTATIONS & COMPENSATION

This is a part time position of approximately 25 hours per week. Salary is based on education and experience. The Marketing Coordinator primarily works remotely, with option to work at GCPA Studios in Webster Groves. Local candidates strongly preferred but may consider long-distance remote candidates. The Marketing Coordinator will come to GCPA as needed for photoshoots, to deliver marketing materials, and other as needed related tasks.
