APRIL 3RD-5TH, 2020
Ages 13-18

In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides that he's had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! Urinetown is an hilarious musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, municipal politics and musical theatre itself! Hilariously funny and touchingly honest, Urinetown provides a fresh perspective on one of America's greatest art forms.

Audition appointments will be taken beginning October 26th, 2019.

Please prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song. Sheet music is required. No transpositions and no lead sheets. No a cappella singing. Songs from the show are acceptable. An accompanist will be provided.

Actors will be notified after their appointment if they are needed at callbacks. Not being invited to callbacks does not necessarily mean an actor will not be offered a role.
