Rehearsal Notes - 4/16/14

Music Notes:

  • Everyone sings Wildcat Cheer, even if you aren't on stage.
  • SING OUT!

Choreography Notes:

  • Please review the choreography for the following numbers (if the links are not in my previous posts then please let us know):
    • Start of Something New
    • Get'cha Head in the Game
    • Auditions
    • Stick to the Status Quo

Blocking Notes:

  • Jocks, please remember to howl after "Time to show the world." And it's a howl, not a whoop.
  • Smile! :-)
  • Don't get loud with the New Year's countdown until "4, 3, 2, 1!" We need to be able to hear Gabriella and Troy's conversation.

Happy Easter

Rehearsal Notes - 4/9/14

I apologize for taking so long to get these notes up.

Music Notes:

  • Once again: SING OUT!
  • Rebels, don't forget: "Don't stick to the status quo!"

Blocking Notes:

  • Jocks, please remember to howl as/right before the Brainiacs enter.

Production Notes:

  • Please stay quiet from now until the curtain goes down on our final performance. Sounds travel very loudly during performances, even if you are backstage or in the wings. There is nothing more embarrassing (for everyone involved in the production) than having the audience hear your conversations.
  • Please get in the habit of keeping your belongings at the front of our rehearsal stage.

- Maggie

Rehearsal Notes - 4/2/14

Music Notes:

  • Remember the "Getcha head in the game - Get my head in the game" echoes.
  • For Justin's verses the echoes are "Get our heads in the game," for Troy's verses the echoes are "Getcha head in the game."
  • Remember the verse: "Make the slam dunk, get the inside, outside."

Blocking Notes:

  • Music is cued from Coach's line: "...And let me see some hustle!"

Production Notes:

  • Please remember to not bounce your balls while any of the directors of the stage managers are talking to you AND be on time returning from breaks.
  • If something goes wrong, keep calm and carry on--Clearly we want to be perfect, but don't worry if you mess up.
