JUNE 26TH - 28TH, 2020
Grades 5th - 9th

Harvard's beloved blonde takes the stage by glittery pink storm in this fun and upbeat adaptation of the hit film and award-winning Broadway musical. Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle's boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all. Legally Blonde JR. is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons.

RATED PG.

Preparation and Process

  • Please prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song. Sheet music is required. No transpositions and no lead sheets. No a cappella singing. Please do not sing songs from the show. An accompanist will be provided.

  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete paperwork and prepare for auditions. Please bring schedule and all potential conflicts.

  • Actors will be notified after their appointment if they are needed at callbacks. Not being invited to callbacks does not necessarily mean an actor will not be offered a role.

  • We sometimes make cuts during the audition process. This is to respect everyone’s time, to promote an efficient casting process, and to best care for the high emotions everyone experiences during auditions. We do our best to notify actors quickly of all casting decisions.
